Dr. Bridgid Conn: Licensed Associate
Dr. Bridgid Mariko Conn is a Clinical Psychologist (CA PSY27641) specializing in working with preteens, adolescents, young adults, and their families with an emphasis on acceptance- and mindfulness-based approaches. Her work is grounded in research evidence. Specifically, she is trained and specializes in the Cognitive-Behavioral Therapies (CBT), with an emphasis in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
In addition, she takes a trauma-informed approach in considering the impact of complex traumatic experiences on emotional well-being and development. She has experience treating a wide range of mental health challenges in individual, group, and family therapy contexts, including chronic mood dysregulation, anxiety, relationship issues, psychosomatic ailments, and disruptions in major life transitions. She received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Suffolk University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles.
Adolescence and Emerging Adulthood are important times in one’s life for personal development and transitions into different life roles. Dr. Conn’s goal is to support individuals in coping with potential stressors and gaining a holistic sense of well-being. She has helped many youth and young adults to learn important skills to cope adaptively with emotional distress, communicate effectively with others, and experience self-efficacy and confidence in their relationship with their thoughts.
